Chefs Banana Bread

Vintage Banana Bread

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter (needs to be soft)
3/4  cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon Nielsen Massey Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon natural banana extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Vietnamese Cinnamon
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup or 3 very ripe bananas mashed
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional), but so good

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

In a large bowl beat the sugar and butter with an electric mixer until smooth. Add mashed bananas and beat until combined. Beat eggs into the butter mixture one at a time. Stir vanilla extract and sour cream into the mixture.

Whisk flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda together in a bowl. Next add flour mix to banana mixture and mix until combined. Stir chopped walnuts & chocolate chips until incorporated.

Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Tap pan on the counter to release any air pockets. Bake in preheated oven for about 1 hour,  or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

Cool loaf in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve!
